**** Update ****
The Govenor of Ohio plans to take 227 million dollars from public library funding from the 251 public libraries across the state of Ohio. A budget decision made by the state legislators is due by June 30th.
Today the libraries in Cuyahoga County got together in downtown Cleveland and held an extremely well attended rally supporting libraries and against the proposed budget cuts.

Over 20 Library Directors from across Ohio spoke. The media was out in full force, print and television. It was a beautiful thing to see all of the community support and hear all of the stories citing how the library helped and still helps them during this crazy economy. How can they even think about cutting libraries when attendance and circulation are up?
