Diary 04/01

The slacker in my group REALLY is a horrible mess! The one person that I have knitched about and maligned this term truly deserved it. Our project is due Monday. He anwered one email out of over 70. Missed or ignored every opportunity and deadline sent to him. Now, he has contacted the instructor and head of the department with a sob story about why he couldn't participate and how he is now ready to work with the group. You have got to be F***ing kidding me!!!! The group and I rallied with a response sent to the head of LIS letting her know that the project is done. How dare he think he could slide in 4 days before the project was due and reap the benefits of out hard work - I DO NOT THINK SO BUDDY!!!!! We received an email response back from the instructor to acknowledge receipt of our response and saying she is meeting with him next week. Without our 20 group project points he can only get a B- at best. I do not wish him any luck. If we had not decided to each take a portion of his work in order to complete the project then our entire group grade would have been toast. As my students would say, "later for him"

On another note, in exactly one month I will be walking across the stage to receive my MLIS degree.
